The Shop...

Well, it has been a while since I posted. We've been to many events and either sweated or froze. I've decided in the SCA there is no inbetween events, it's either, wet, cold, hot or a combination there of.

Need to get the heat turned on in the shop so sewing can start again. Looking forward to Gulf Wars. It will be my first and possibly my last (lets face it I'm 62 years old and I've worn out some parts faster than others).

Getting ready to start making Persian garb. Have done the research and realized I do have the knowledge to make my own patterns (even if I really do hate math of any kind). So it's time to call the heating guy and have him come fix the central heat at the shop and get my tushie in gear.

Garage Sales Are Fun

Here is the "pile" of fabric I got for $5.00. There is some really nice fabric, some really strange, some totally weird and some where in the heck did they find this fabric. Look real hard because the other half of Bedlam Bazaar is lost in the fabric. I think I got my money's worth...

Gulf Wars Order

Finished the 5 tunics for a guy from Ravens Fort. Included in the order were 3 caps/coifs/whatever they're called. Heavy weight linen is very heavy when you're making fighting tunics for someone who is 6'7".

Right now I'm worn out and hating wasps. Took a break from sewing last week, went outside to enjoy the wonderful weather. Got nailed in the rear by a wasp. For a 61 year old I can move pretty fast when necessary! For several days one cheeck looked like J'lo the other like a 61 year old. Thankfully almost all the swelling is gone.

Re-defined Logo

Here it is! The new version of our Bedlam Bazaar Logo. We liked the shape and lines of the original but it lacked definition. The symbol means Come Back and Fetch It. As in look and see what we have, check around and realize how much you like our offerings, then come back and buy them.

We're Here!

Well Bedlam Bazaar has reached the fun stage. We're getting our website up and running. We've gotten everything inventoried (now we just have to computerize it-Oh Joy). Now comes the fun part. We start making things!

Tribal Belly Dance clothing, garb for SCA members, Kuchi jewelry, LARP, historical re-enactment groups and so on and so forth will be able to purchase from us. We have plans to design and make clothing/costumes/garb for Fire Dancers and Fire Spinning. Yes! It will pass the 3 second burn test.
